Pillar Primary Care and Recovery Services complies with applicable federal civil rights laws, including Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, and Michigan law, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency and primary language), age, disability, or sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics). We do not exclude people or treat them differently because of any of these.
Free help we provide
For people with disabilities, at no cost: qualified sign language interpreters, written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats), and other reasonable changes to how we provide care.
For people whose primary language is not English, at no cost: qualified interpreters and information written in other languages.
If you need these services, ask any staff member or contact our Section 1557 Coordinator below.
If you believe we have discriminated against you
If you believe Pillar has failed to provide these services or has discriminated in another way on any of the bases above, you can file a grievance with our Section 1557 Coordinator in person, by mail, by phone or by email. If you need help filing a grievance, the Coordinator can help you.
